Weekly Prayer Meeting........
1st Peter 3-12
For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open to their Prayers.
Prayer in the Christian faith is communicating with God, either in God's fullness or as one of the persons of the Trinity.
Praying has many forms, it may be done privately, it may be done silently, it may be spoken out loud when alone or in company of other belivers. Prayer can be incorporated into our daily lives, where we are in constant communication with God throught our daily lives, seeking guidance and protection in everything we do.
In the New Testament we are told to Pray, in Colossians 4:2-4 it says 'Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;' and in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 'Pray without ceasing.'
Every Monday evening we have a Prayer Meeting, when we meet and talk our about our indivual needs for prayer and the needs of others who maybe ill, or going through a difficult time in their lives.
Very few of us are expert prayers, but then what is praying but talking to God, taking our worries and troubles and those of others to him. There in no pressure to pray if you are shy, you can do it within, silently.
As said before, Prayer meeting are held every Monday evening and once a month it is an United Prayer Meeting when members of our Church and those from other Churches meet in a different Church other than our own.
Please come along, Meeting with others can bring it's own blessing and the fellowship is good as we talk about things like how God is working in peoples lives and how and if prayers have yet been answered..
Prayer Works, you will be susprised the difference it can make in your life and that of others.
